4 Kansas City Entrepreneurs Win Coveted ‘Enterprising Women of the Year’ Award
Four women entrepreneurs from the Kansas City area have been selected to receive a national 2023 Enterprising Women of the Year Award by Enterprising Women Magazine.
The Enterprising Women of the Year Award is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. Now in its 21st year, the program recognizes outstanding women entrepreneurs across eight revenue categories, ranging from under $1 million to over $100 million in annual sales.
This year’s KC area award winners are:
Abirami Madhan, President and CEO, iLabs, Inc. (Overland Park, Kansas)
iLabs provides custom and low-code agile application development and maintenance, digital modernization services to federal clients. The business was recognized in the “all revenues” category.
Brittany Fugate, President and CEO, Cenetric Network Services (Olathe, Kansas)
Cenetric Network Services is an IT services, support and consulting provider. The business was recognized in the $2 million to $3 million in annual sales category.
Dana Hetrick, President, Lucas Commercial Flooring Group (Independence, Missouri)
Lucas Commercial Flooring Group is a full-service commercial flooring provider, owned and operated by an interior designer, and was a winner in the $2 million to $3 million annual sales category.
Michele R. Markham, President and CEO, EAG Advertising & Marketing (Kansas City, Missouri)
EAG Advertising & Marketing is an advertising agency and outsourced marketing department for growing companies. The business was a winner in the $3 million to $5 million annual sales category.
The award selections were made based on each entrepreneur’s dynamic leadership and ability to meet challenges, in addition to their company growth projections, mentoring of other women and dedication to community service.
