2 KC Entrepreneurs Win 2024 Enterprising Women of the Year Award
Two women entrepreneurs from the Kansas City area have been selected to receive a national 2024 Enterprising Women of the Year Award by Enterprising Women Magazine.
The Enterprising Women of the Year Award is widely considered one of the most prestigious recognition programs for women business owners. Now in its 22nd year, the program recognizes outstanding women entrepreneurs across eight revenue categories, ranging from under $1 million to over $100 million in annual sales.
The honorees received their awards during a celebratory evening gala on April 9, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
This year’s KC-area award winners are:
Cindy Shelton (pictured right), co-founder and President of Nifty Promotions (Lenexa, Kansas)
Nifty Promotions is an independent promotional marketing company that launched in 2015. Nifty has an established customer base across the United States. Cindy and her team use effective promotional products to help their clients acquire new customers, retain employees and promote their brand.

Founded in 2016, Kali Buchanan Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm specializing in commercial interior and modern residential interior design and architectural services. KBID’s commercial portfolio ranges from multi-family mixed use design and commercial office interiors to retail design, restaurant design and hospitality design. Kali’s business is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise in Kansas City.
