Explore the New Location, Special Deals for Global Entrepreneurship Week – KC 2019
Global Entrepreneurship Week – Kansas City, the metro’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship, has a new base camp for its 12th year. The weeklong event that draws thousands to network, learn and grow will be based in the 18th and Vine district in Kansas City, Missouri, Nov. 18-22.
“The opportunities and heritage associated with KC’s thriving 18th and Vine district makes it the perfect place to host the 100+ events and thousands of entrepreneurs who will across five days network, learn and grow,” says Jenny Miller, KCSourceLink network builder and chair of the GEWKC organizing committee. “It’s only fitting that we host the event in a neighborhood with a rich entrepreneurial history.”
The Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City will serve as base camp, with other prominent locations in the 18th and Vine district also holding events.
“The 18th and Vine district has a rich culture of doers, dreamers and makers who have had an immense influence on Kansas City entrepreneurship, so we here at The Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City are honored to serve as the base camp for GEWKC 2019,” says Dr. Carmaletta Williams, executive director of the Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City. “We can’t wait to spur new ideas, new connections and innovations for the future in a place where that enterprising spirit still thrives today.”

Getting around 18th and Vine, Base Camp for GEWKC 2019
In KC’s 18th and Vine District, four buildings will host a majority of the events (there are 200+ total, but some events are held off-site. Reference your printed or online agenda for details).
Look for daily agendas in the main areas of each of the four color-coded buildings to see which rooms that are hosting events in each time slot.
Plus, refer to the map for parking instructions and locations for food and drink. Those locations noted on the map have special deals for GEWKC attendees who show their name badge. (So wear that badge every day!)
