What does it take to grow a local business?

Every small business would benefit from a smart, experienced mentor – or even better a group of smart, experienced mentors. That’s the idea behind the Growth Mentoring Service offered by the Enterprise Center of Johnson County.

Modeled after a successful program created at MIT here’s a quick explanation of the program from their website: “This program which connects experienced entrepreneurs with a team of skilled volunteer mentors. We use a group mentoring approach consisting of a lead mentor and a team of 3-4 mentors that meet together with the entrepreneur(s) in monthly sessions that provide practical, day-to-day professional advice and coaching.”

Bottom line, this is a great local program that adds a lot to the community and the Entreprenuers Alliance is going to take a tour of the offices and learn all about from the GMS Director Rebecca Gubbels.

And… of course, we’ll also have plenty of time for networking, beverages and meeting new people. This will be an interesting event and a great way to connect – so we’d love to see you there.
