Build Your Custom GEWKC Agenda from over 150 In-Person, Virtual Events

Global Entrepreneurship Week – Kansas City has just released its agenda of over 150 virtual and in-person sessions for 2022 that are built to inspire, elevate and champion KC entrepreneurship.

To make this year’s sessions even more accessible to every entrepreneur, base camp is back, and sessions will take place in the heart of North Kansas City, Missouri; some sessions are offered virtually and across the metro; and GEWKC is seven days, from Nov. 14 – 20.

All Kansas City events are free, and registration is open at gewkc.org, where attendees can access the digital Sched platform and add any of the more than 150 events to customize their GEWKC agenda. Those who wish to attend must sign up for an account on Sched (click “sign up” at gewkc.org) and add events to their custom agenda. This will let hosts email updates and video event links to attendees.

“Entrepreneurs are the engines that drive the Kansas City economy, so we’re crafting this year’s GEWKC to help them follow their passions and build and grow something great to strengthen our communities,” said Michael Carmona, chief organizer for GEWKC and senior director of KCSourceLink. “When entrepreneurs can get the help and resources they need, they can do amazing things, so we wanted to harken back to past GEWKC celebrations with a base camp in an area that’s thriving with entrepreneur activity, as well as offer a virtual option for certain events to really open it up to everyone and lean into this year’s theme, ‘You Belong Here.’”

This year, events will span five “tracks”: Startups, Scalers, Youthpreneurs, Inclusive Community Builders and Makers, Artists and Creators.

The metro’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship, GEWKC draws thousands to network, learn and connect, but Global Entrepreneurship Week isn’t just contained to Kansas City. It is an international celebration of the makers, innovators and job creators who launch startups and bring ideas to life in the small business community. The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation founded GEW in 2008, and it has since expanded it to more than 170 countries.

All GEWKC events were crowdsourced from local organizations and businesses, and the volunteer GEWKC Organizing Committee curated the final list. Anyone can use the hashtag #GEWKC on social media to promote GEWKC events and connect with others participating in the week.
