The International Trade Council of Greater Kansas City is a regional nonprofit professional association committed to building a strong and successful international business network in the Kansas City region. To achieve this, ITCGKC connects professionals and global partners in the international business and academic communities, delivers timely international trade education and bridges access to relevant resources.

The International Trade Council of Greater Kansas City offers the following programs and services to small businesses: 

 

Networking Opportunities 

ITCGKC hosts events throughout the year that provide great opportunities to build and grow your network. Catch up with old connections and make new ones at Fourth Friday Breakfast Meetings where a successful business leader speaks about their path toward international success or discusses a timely trade topic. Or join the council on International Women’s Day for its Women in International Business Luncheon where it celebrates the women who are essential to the success of global companies in the Kansas City region. Or join ITCGKC for its Annual Meeting and social in August. 

 

Advocacy 

The landscape of international trade is ever-changing, and ITCGKC members are involved in many of those conversations on the local, national and international levels. 

 

When a big change is looming, from free trade agreements to new regulatory requirements, you can count on the ITCGKC bringing a player to the table to discuss these changes that may affect the business of our members. If there is an issue you’re currently facing that you feel would be beneficial to discuss among ITCGKC membership, let the council know, and it will get the conversation started. 

 

Internship Promotion and Connection 

Through educational initiatives, ITCGKC has strong relationships with universities in the Kansas City region and engages with the most ambitious students at those universities interested in careers involving international trade. There are a variety of ways we can connect your company with this fresh talent through the Global Career Bridge and directly with internship-seeking students.
