About the event/project:

Thanks to a Regional Node Planning Grant awarded to the Kansas City region, we have the opportunity to build a framework to drive the success of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. To date, we have completed an environmental scan that looked at the current state of entrepreneurship (what currently exists, what is needed). We also engaged with more than 100 entrepreneurs and stakeholders in our region through 18 focus group sessions, learning more about the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses and entrepreneurs as well as their hopes for our collective future.

At this special event on April 2, our goal is to bring together more than 200 existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, support organizations and more from across the region to share the challenges, strengths and opportunities that exist in our small business communities.

We will come together to plan for a stronger environment for small business and entrepreneurship in our region. We will:

Explore where we are today as an entrepreneur community.
Discuss where we hope to be in 10 years
Identify ways for us to collaborate to achieve our goals.
