Founded in 1944 by J.C. Nichols, the International Trade Council of Greater Kansas City (ITCGKC) strives to build a strong and successful international business network in the Kansas City region. ITCGKC connects professionals and partners in the international business and academic communities, delivers timely international trade education, and bridges access to relevant resources. ITCGKC is honored to list a growing membership that includes organizations in business and government as well as academic institutions; we also welcome individual and student members.

*Open to women and men in international business, ITCGKC convenes an elegant luncheon at a local restaurant on International Women's Day at a local restaurant. The program features a motivational, informative keynote by a leading female business or policy leader in international trade, topped by the presentation of our choice for ITCGKC Women in International Business Legacy Award. *ITCGKC has launched an international workforce enhancement program that includes two parts:
> Fall: Several of ITCGKC's corporate members host several undergraduate and graduate students in international business (IB) from member academic institutions to provide insight to their companies' international business operations and introduce their staff to eager students' pursuing IB careers.
>Spring: ITCGKC offers a 16-hour course of study led by its corporate members in critical operations of international business for undergraduate and graduate students in IB. These seminars comprise a 16-hour curriculum designed by ITCGKC's Board of Directors to address practical areas in IB that may not be addressed in typical IB academic courses. TRADEWINS (copyrighted)
*ITCGKC offers a live group simulation in a buy-sell situation involving fictional international companies. This dynamic learning activity is commonly 3-4 hours in length and is facilitated by an ITCGKC members with broad experience in exporting and importing.
