The Independence Council for Economic Development (ICED) acts as a liaison between businesses and government and provides economic research on the Independence, MO., area.
The ICED staff fills data requests, collects and maintains current and comprehensive data on the commercial location characteristics of Independence. This information is posted to the ICED Web site and to Missouri Location One, a database that showcases community, site and building profiles.
ICED also assists the city in preparing plans, policies and applications to promote quality economic expansion as evidenced by the development of several business parks, malls, housing communities and the Little Blue Valley area.
