NEW MARKETS TAX CREDITS (NMTC) facilitated financing is available for operating businesses as well as real estate entities that are considering making a significant investment in AltCap's service area. Significant job creating capital investments by a business (e.g. facility expansion or equipment/machinery purchase) or catalytic commercial, industrial, mixed-use, or community development project that represents at least $5-6 million in investment are eligible for nontraditional, flexible financing through the NMTC Program. FACADE IMPROVEMENT LOAN PROGRAM (FILP) loans are available for commercial/retail properties along major commercial corridors in AltCap's service area. Initially targeting Independence Avenue, Truman Road, Troost Avenue, and Prospect Avenue, the FILP is designed to provide nontraditional, flexible financing to commercial/retail property owners wanting to make improvements to their properties to increase business activity for their tenants as well as help beautify their communities. The DIVERSIFIED CONTRACTORS GROWTH FUND (DCGF) is specifically designed to assist M/W/DBE certified trades contractors in the commercial and multi-family construction industry.
