K-State Pollution Prevention Institute

The Pollution Prevention Institute at Kansas State University (PPI) was established in 1995 to provide environmental training and assistance to businesses in Kansas.

About

The Pollution Prevention Institute at Kansas State University (PPI) provides free, non-regulatory technical assistance and training in pollution prevention and environmental compliance. Based in Manhattan, PPI serves the Kansas City area and offers free environmental compliance assistance to small businesses through the Kansas Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP). In addition, PPI serves businesses of all sizes through the Pollution Prevention Intern Program. This nonregulatory program recruits engineering and environmental science students and places them with Kansas businesses where they work on dedicated pollution prevention projects that reduce environmental impacts and costs.
