The Brookside Business Association promotes economic development, community growth, business retention and attraction in the Brookside area of Kansas City, Missouri.

About

The Brookside Business Association is a voluntary organization whose purpose is to create and preserve a pleasant surrounding for conducting business in Kansas City’s Brookside neighborhood and serving the community for the next 100 years. The association accomplishes this by, among other things, maintaining common parking areas, providing for landscaping and trash removal, promoting special activities and events, and working with the city, park department, area transportation authority, tenants, property owners and neighborhood stakeholders.

The Brookside Community Improvement District (BCID) was formed in 2005 to provide the following services:

  • Daily maintenance

  • Landscaping

  • Advocacy for businesses

  • Marketing and promotion

  • Business resource

  • Information and referral

  • Data collection for economic development
