KCRise Fund

KCRise Fund is a venture capital co-investment fund designed to help bring more financing to early-stage businesses in the area. The fund looks to co-invest with other institutional investors, including venture capital firms and corporate investors, in pre-Seed, Seed and Series A rounds of at least $1 million for early-stage technology companies with a strategic connection to the western half of Missouri or the entire state of Kansas, with a primary focus on business-to-business companies.

Founded by Darcy Howe, KCRise Fund I launched in October of 2016 as an initiative of KC Rising, a long-term vision for the greater Kansas City region to build capacity, bring existing businesses to scale and fully realize the KC region’s potential. KCRise Fund is a co-investment fund, which invests side-by-side with other institutional venture capital investors in early-stage companies based in Kansas and western half of Missouri. The fund targets high-growth companies in this region seeking at least $1 million in capital. Our investors include corporations, family offices and prominent business leaders in the region. In 2019, KCRise Fund II was launched, bringing total committed capital to over $40 million under management.
