About

The Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce advocates, promotes and facilitates the success of the LGBT and allied business community through the guiding principles of equality, inclusion, economics and education to create, identify and enhance business opportunities for LGBT and allied organizations, thereby fostering a more inclusive and vibrant economy in Mid-America.

The organization is currently focused on building the organization’s foundation in Kansas City. Its future plans call for the Mid-America LGBT Chamber to be a resource for the four-state area of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. The chamber has grown since its founding in 2012 to over 400 member businesses, which include large corporations, small businesses, sole proprietorships, individuals, government offices and nonprofits.

The LGBT Chamber is a community of members that create, identify, and enhance business opportunities for LGBTQ+ and allied organizations through advocacy, promotion and facilitation of the success of the LGBTQ+ business community and our allies to foster a more inclusive and vibrant economy in Kansas City and across the Mid-America region. Our guiding principles are equality, inclusion, economics and education.
