Global Entrepreneurship Week - Kansas City
is Nov. 17-19, 2020

Global Entrepreneurship Week is an international celebration of the makers, innovators and job creators who launch startups and bring ideas to life. Founded by the Kauffman Foundation in 2008 and celebrated during the third week of November, it has since expanded to more than 160 countries.

Here in Kansas City at #GEWKC 2019, more than 5,000 people attended more than 200 events. This year, we'll celebrate #GEWKC virtually with three days of programming, networking and inspiration to support and strengthen the doers, dreamers and job creators whose ideas transform our local economy, our community and our lives.

This year, GEWKC programming will focus on helping aspiring and established entrepreneurs build the resiliency necessary to recover and reopen their businesses, seize new opportunities, sharpen their entrepreneurial skills and harness the network they need to build stronger businesses and shape a brighter future for all.

GEWKC will span three days, Nov. 17-19—to both promote social distancing and safety and to extend the reach of GEWKC beyond the Kansas City community and into the Midwest region. Most events will be virtual.

During the day, attendees can participate in around 50 engaging, GEWKC Prime-Time events that will take place, virtually, over four hours during the day.

GEWKC will also open up to virtual and small, in-person GEWKC Community events, held throughout the community and region, giving aspiring and established entrepreneurs more chances to connect and network.

All GEWKC events will be listed and open to registration on this website. Registration for GEWKC Prime-Time events will start on Oct. 12 and GEWKC Community events will be added through Nov. 11.

Innovation drives economic growth and changes lives—and it’s our entrepreneurs who bring those innovations to life. To move those innovations takes some serious gumption and the right team of founders, funders, designers, managers, developers, marketers, sales leaders, makers and resources.

GEWKC is where connections happen and teams come together to get inspired, prepare for the next challenge and celebrate Kansas City entrepreneurship.
