Fundraising Tools Series – Fearless Fundraising for Volunteers

Friday, December 9 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am • Organized By Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership
Online Event

About

Instructor: Tim Sweeny, Senior Fellow of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership and founding partner in Praxis Nonprofit Strategies

Fundraising remains one of the most critical components necessary to build and sustain nonprofits. Yet, nonprofit professionals and volunteers alike often approach fundraising with great dread. This workshop will explore how nonprofit professionals can help organizational volunteers shift from reluctant to fearless fundraisers.

This webinar has two educational parts to its design:

Part One – Participant will get access to a pre-recorded lecture that will cover an overview of concepts and components of fundraising with volunteers. It will explore the giving landscape in the USA, review motivational underpinnings behind fundraising, examine the basic fundraising cycle and how volunteers can support it, examine how staff can support fundraising volunteers, and begin thinking of the first steps of prospecting with volunteers.
(Video recording – 1 hour 16 minutes)

Part Two – On December 9, 2022 (8:30AM-10:30AM) participants will attend an interactive “live” session, via Zoom, with the instructor. In the “live” session, we will have a practical discussion examining how these concepts can work in your organization and how they can benefit you as fundraisers or you as volunteers.
(Live session – 2 hours)
