Small Business Strategies for Employee Retention

Tuesday, November 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm • Organized By Kansas SBDC at JCCC
Online Event

About

In today’s complex labor market, employee engagement is instrumental to bolster recruiting and retention. There are various strategies a small business owner can take that fit in with their company culture. We will explore two strategies you can implement in your business: employee-ownership and retirement plans for small business.
• Missouri Center for Employee Ownership will discuss employee retention & ownership where you will identify the key problem areas for employee retention, learn practical solutions to address these areas, and explore employee ownership as a next step for keeping your top talent on for the long-term.
• U.S. Department of Labor – Employee Benefits Security Administration will cover tax advantages of certain retirement plans, what types of plans are available to small businesses (under 100 employees), incentives for setting up a retirement plan and things to consider when selecting which type of plan for a small business.
• The Kansas Small Business Development Center (Kansas SBDC) helps you plan, manage, grow and transition your business and will discuss current opportunities for you to get involved to improve your business results.
