Making Hiring Decisions Employees vs. Contractors with WHD and IRS

Thursday, September 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm • Organized By U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Kansas City District Office
Online Event

Making the determination on whether a worker is an independent contractor or an employee can be challenging.

To help with that challenge, SBA is hosting the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and the Internal Revenue Service, to share with attendees information to help you make the best hiring decisions.

WHD will share the type of factors it weighs when making the determination on whether the employee-employer relationship exists and the IRS will discuss worker classification and information on how to determine the difference between an independent contractor and an employee.
