As part of the Inclusive Recovery Initiative, NGIN will be hosting a convening entitled “Design Justice: Centering BIPOC Communities During Strategic Planning.” In this session, practitioners will be guided through design justice principles and learn about engagement models that can produce more actionable, accountable, and equitable economic plans. Tulsa Authority for Economic Opportunity and Chattanoogans in Action for Love Equality and Benevolence (CALEB) will provide insights on their unique efforts to implement inclusive methods of centering community, organizing stakeholders, and restructuring programs to model equitable engagement and advance inclusive economic development.
