The Benefits of Becoming a CDFI or CDE

The FDIC and the OCC will host a webinar to provide technical assistance to financial institutions and community organizations interested in pursuing a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) or Community Development Entity (CDE) certification. This is also a follow-up event, which specifically focuses on addressing participant inquiries from the 2021 Partnering with CDFI Webinar series. The webinar will:

(1) Assist financial institutions and community organizations to make an informed decision regarding which certification to pursue.

(2) U.S. Department of the Treasury (CDFI Fund) will discuss the benefits of CDFI certification, the requirements, and an overview of current Award Programs and Initiatives

(3) U.S. Department of the Treasury (CDFI Fund) will discuss the benefits of CDE certification, the requirements, and an overview of current Award Programs and Initiatives

(4) In addition, the FDIC and OCC will share CDFI resources.

The webinar will take place Thursday, March 24th from 1:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m. CT.
