Karen E. Griffin, a.k.a .E Lewis, has been a visual and textile artist for several years and recently added performer and storyteller. This talented artist will present their biz followed by an inspiring Q&A. Let’s expand their business, yours, plus the arts and economy.
This month, Karen is a featured artist on the Missouri Arts Council website and February she was honored by SCRAPS KC. In December she was featured by BlK ArtHouse “Essences of Black Women”: Winter Exhibition in Baltimore, MD. Also, in December she obtained her Certification as a National Storyteller. Her textiles and stellar one-woman reenactments were in collaboration with the following culture communities: Australian Jazz Museum, Black Archives of Mid-American, Johnson County Library, Museum at Prairiefire, Bunker Center for the Arts, SLT Art Chamber, Johnson County Heritage Art, The Sewing Labs, Do Good Co KC, and Mid-Continent Public Library.
