Discover how to create a collaborative environment where everyone is responsible for design. You will go through design challenges and sprints that can be incorporated into any workplace or startup, to unlock creativity and innovative thinking.

In this session, we’ll introduce:

  • The principles of the design thinking process
  • Applying the design thinking process to solve problems
  • The basics of prototyping your ideas

Featured Speaker

Terrie Simmons is a civic leader, the first Director of the Women’s Business Center for Aurora, the first female Chair of the Board of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce, and the first in her family to graduate college. Terrie is a strategic innovator who has demonstrated the ability to direct, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve outstanding success in a variety of areas. Terrie is expertly experienced in non-profit management, leadership development, and all phases of entrepreneurship “How-to’s.” She is also an adjunct professor teaching business courses at the graduate level. Terrie is currently the Director for our CARES Act Program for the Women’s Business Center in Aurora, IL, assisting those who have been affected by the COVID 19 pandemic.
