Terry Trafton is President & CEO of CommCARE Behavioral Health, a network of community Behavioral Healthcare providers in Missouri. CommCARE serves a network of mental health and substance use services organization across Missouri and operates the regional 24/7 mental health access crisis intervention call center at 1-888-279-8188. Terry also serves as President & CEO of the subsidiary, Alternatives EAP, which partners with Employers to provide employee wellness services including individual counseling and life solutions.
With 30 years of experience in healthcare settings including behavioral health, community and hospital healthcare, Terry worked for 19 years at Truman Medical Center in the Behavioral Health division including eight years as an Administrator. Then, he served at Two Rivers Behavioral Health System of UHS in 2016 as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Terry holds a National Certification and License as a Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri with a Master’s degree from Avila University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Terry is civically active, serving as the current President of the Missouri Mental Health Foundation Board of Directors, a current Board Member and Past Chair of the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation and recently was elected to the Health Forward Foundation’s Board of Directors after serving six years on the Health Forward Foundation’s Community Advisory Council.
