Join the Downtown Council in welcoming Brian Platt, new city manager for Kansas City, Missouri! He formerly served as city manager/business administrator for Jersey City, New Jersey, and as the City’s first chief innovation officer and established the City’s first Office of Innovation in 2015.
Brian was recently included on the “Traeger List” as one of the top 100 local government leaders in the United States in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. He has also been highlighted on the INSIDER NJ 2018 and 2020 lists of top 100 millennials in New Jersey government and politics and as a Government Innovator of the Week by Bloomberg Cities.
Brian previously worked in Management Consulting for McKinsey & Company and as a kindergarten teacher with Teach For America. He completed his Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University.
