2020 BioNexus KC Annual Event

Thursday, October 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm • Organized By BioNexus KC
Online Event

Throughout 2020 we have been listening. Kansas City has powerful organizations embedded within an engaged life sciences and healthcare community. With an effective and responsive ecosystem, the KC region will leverage its expertise, assets and determination in fields such as rare disease, informatics and health equity. We will come together to learn, adapt, and thrive by identifying and implementing meaningful change as we guide the region into its next phase.

BioNexus KC’s annual event will feature Calaneet Balas, CEO and President of the ALS Association, who has experience in helping to build a robust and reactive ecosystem of collaboration and innovation. In 2014, the Ice Bucket Challenge created an unprecedented opportunity to expand ALS research and care. Balas’s comments will be heavily tied to the pandemic, as the ALS Association has been able to quickly adapt by providing remote support and utilizing technology for meaningful care service interventions.
