The most effective proposal writers have “done their homework.” They know the most likely funding sources for their organization and its programs, and they know what the grantmaker wants to see in a proposal. In this two-day course, participants will examine the relationship between comprehensive, systematic prospect research and proposal writing. Applied Project: Develop a list of five potential funders and write a proposal.

Graduate Credit:
If you would like to earn graduate credit for the fundraising courses but are not currently a UMKC student, learn more about becoming UMKC as a visiting/community student.
Location and Parking:
All sessions are held in Room 014 of Bloch Heritage Hall at 5110 Cherry Street on the UMKC Volker Campus. Parking passes will be mailed to participants upon registration.
Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
Full refunds will be given when cancellations are made at least five working days before the first session. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from refunds when notification occurs fewer than five working days before class begins. No refunds will be made after the first session has begun.
