THE ART OF SCENARIO PLANNING: PLANNING TO SERVE IN A TURBULENT FUTURE

Tuesday, September 1 @ 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm • Organized By Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership
Online Event

About

How can an organization prepare or plan for the future when there is so much uncertainty? It’s just so confusing when conditions are so turbulent! While there is no great way to know for sure, it’s dangerous and foolish to just leave things to chance and hope for the best. And there is a better way. Smart and agile nonprofits engage in scenario planning, employing the discipline of identifying and weighing their best options under a range of different conditions. For this session of the Nonprofit Navigation Series, center director Dave Renz will outline the concepts and practices of scenario planning, explain how effective nonprofit leaders facing turbulent environments use it to plan for sustainability and impact, and invite participants to share their experiences and how they have put such techniques to work.
