About

Social, environmental, economic, political, and generational changes create paradigm shifts in philanthropy. This two-day course explores current trends, how they impact fundraising, and new ethical concerns arising from these changes. Applied project: Participants will develop a storytelling video.

This course is an elective in the Professional Fundraising Series.

Required Textbook:
There are no required textbooks for this course.

Scholarships:
MCNL has a limited number of partial scholarships that can be applied to the registration fee for most of our programs. Apply for a scholarship using our online form.

Graduate Credit:
If you would like to earn graduate credit for the fundraising courses but are not currently a UMKC student, learn more about becoming a UMKC visiting/community student.

Location and Parking:
All sessions are held in Room 014 of Bloch Executive Hall at 5108 Cherry Street on the UMKC Volker Campus. Parking passes will be mailed to participants upon registration.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
Full refunds will be given when cancellations are made at least five working days before the first session. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from refunds when notification occurs fewer than five working days before class begins. No refunds will be made after the first session has begun.
