Doing Business With Canada (Webinar + Virtual Office Hours)

Wednesday, May 13 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am • Organized By World Trade Center - Kansas City
Online Event

About

International trade is one of the best ways a business can grow their customer base and increase revenue. Whether you are just starting out, or a seasoned international professional, Canada is certainly a market to consider. Its close location, similar lifestyle, and favorable business climate make it an attractive trading partner.

According to U.S. Commercial Service, two-way trade in goods and services totaled more than $725 billion in 2018, and bilateral investment stock reached nearly $915 billion. U.S. exports to Canada were nearly $365 billion in 2018, or 15 percent of total U.S. exports. And in 2018, Kansas City exported more than $2.5 Billion in goods to Canada.

During this presentation we will be discussing U.S. and Canadian Customs and Border Crossing issues, non-resident importing considerations, and the available resources offered by the U.S. Commercial Service and Canada's Trade Commissioner Service.

This webinar is intended for companies interested in selling their products or services in Canada, those interested in sourcing materials or goods from Canada, and those currently doing business with Canada who are looking to expand or are seeking assistance with current operations.

Following the webinar companies will have the opportunity for a virtual meeting with our presenters and partners. Meetings will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis, and will be available from 10:00am - 5:00pm CST in 30 minute blocks. Please contact Melissa Miller at mmiller@kcchamber.com to schedule your meeting today.

Can't make a meeting on the 13th? That's okay! Our presenters and partners are continually taking meetings and we are happy to connect you.
