Legal Guidance to Help Employers Navigate New Wellness/Health Policies

Thursday, May 7 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm • Organized By Missouri Enterprise, Kansas City and Northwest Missouri
Online Event

After a survey with Missouri manufacturers, we found that understanding wellness and health guidelines as a result of Covid-19 is a top challenge. To help us walk through some of the major obstacles and gray areas on this topic as it relates to the reopening of the state, we will be joined by one of the most widely respected Human Resource attorneys, Ruth Binger. We will tackle questions such as: Can employers require vaccinations? Can they be held liable if an employee contacts the virus at the workplace? Can a company require an employee to leave work if they seem ill? Join us as we together learn how to navigate the new health order while protecting employees on the job. Please be prepared to ask the legal expert questions.

About the Speaker: Ruth Binger is an employment law and business law attorney with Danna McKitrick, P.C. Ruth advises entrepreneurs with family-owned, closely held, or multi-national companies. Her clients fall mainly into these industries: manufacturing and distribution, professional services firms (including marketing, web development, and software development), transportation, and retail. She provides counsel on employment issues, intellectual property, digital law, cybersecurity, and corporate structure and governance, guiding her clients to preventive solutions.
In addition to her work with her clients, Ruth facilitates several independent business owner peer advisory boards. Due to her experience representing businesses and facilitating the advisory boards, Ruth's clients look to her for the most appropriate and effective legal strategy. Ruth is also a member of AIM.
