Fashion Forward, KC Style: From A Rich Past to Today’s Fashion Leaders
Kansas City has played a major role in the fashion industry. Nelly Don, Inc., and its founder, Nell Donnelly Reed, were innovators in the fashion industry. Today, that legacy lives on in a dynamic and growing Kansas City entrepreneurial fashion sector.
Denise Morrison, Director of Collections and Curatorial Services at the Kansas City Museum, will be in conversation with some of Kansas City’s new innovators who are advancing our City’s legacy and building its fashion future.
This program is a partnership between the Kansas City Museum and the Computer History Museum in California. It’s part of a series of Kansas City-based programs accompanying UpStart: Stories of Entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and Kansas City, a prototype traveling exhibit about entrepreneurial people and communities, hosted at the Kansas City Public Library’s Central Branch from November 12 – December 5, 2019.
