Veteran owned businesses are an integral part of our supplier diversity program like minority-owned (MBE, women-owned (WBE), HubZone, and LGBTQ business enterprises.
The goal of the Veteran's Summit, "For Those Who Served" is to provide the veteran business owners with an experience to enhance business practices through interactive workshops and a Match Maker activity that is designed to bring regional institutions, municipalities and state and federal government entities together in one venue to meet with veteran business enterprises (VBE) and service-disabled veteran enterprises (SDVBEs) for procurement opportunities.
Small Business Networking Event
The Kansas City Federal Executive Board will host their Small Business Networking event from 7:15 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. This is the only local networking event that puts you in contact with federal, state, city and large corporate contractors.
From 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. workshops will be offered to help U.S Veteran Owned Enterprises through the maze of growing your business.
Match Maker Activity
The Match Maker activity will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and is designed to bring regional institutions, municipalities and state and federal government entities together in one venue to meet with U.S. Veteran-Owned Enterprises. Veteran business owners will be expected to sign up for 10-minute sessions to speak with representatives about RFP/Procurement opportunities.
Lunch will provided from 12:00pm until 12:45pm. RSVP is required for sufficient headcount.
If you would like to register to attend any of the sessions mentioned above, please register online. For inquiries, contact Chris Kelly firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing you,
