With a workforce comprised of four very different generations, the nonprofit sector today is more unique and diverse than ever before. The Millennial generation, a major focus of previous research and discussion, is no longer the youngest set of employees in the organization.
Currently in their late teens and early twenties, the iGen cohort is not simply a younger version of Millennials. These newest employees are stereotyped as uncertain, risk averse, fearful of adulthood, and seeking a steady paycheck and financial security.
How do nonprofit leaders bring out the best in their youngest employees? This presentation will:
- Present an overview of iGen, the newest generation to enter the workforce.
- Compare iGens to their Millennial predecessors.
- Offer specific actions nonprofit leaders can take to enhance their proficiency in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining their iGen workers.
Managers- Invite your staff! Staff- invite your manager! This program is for all generations, including iGens.
