Is Certification Right for You? Understanding and Leveraging Your Certification

Thursday, April 4 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm • Organized By Women's Business Center
8100 Newton, Overland Park, KS 66204

Have you been looking for that special something to help you get in the door at large corporations? Are you a certified WBE or considering WBE certification and would like to know/leverage the benefits?

If you are part of a business that is at least 51% owned, controlled and managed by a woman/women, and whose target market includes corporate America, that something could be Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification. Although not a guarantee of business, WBE certification has proven to provide a competitive edge in obtaining corporate contracts. National in scope and issued by a third-party agency Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), WBE certification is recognized by over a thousand major corporations and government agencies in the U.S.

You will also hear from seasoned WBEs and gain more tools to leverage your certification, including developing a corporate contract strategy, capability statement and other resources available to you to drive your top and bottom lines.

This workshop is co-hosted by the Women's Business Center and the Women's Business Development Center (a regional partner organization for Women's Business Enterprise National Council).
