About

Do you have an innovative idea for a business but you're not sure how and where to start assessing your options? Operation Launch U formerly First Step FastTrac helps you define and evaluate your business concept. Through our 8 week course, you'll develop a start-up plan that will help you not only start, but succeed in business: Give you a specific roadmap for starting a business; Expose you to subject matter experts such as accountants, lawyers, marketing experts & more; Challenge you to define and be prepared for the best and worst; Help position you to fund your business; Help you develop a network of resources and peers a business owner needs. The Women's Business Center, along with the Kansas City Kansas Chamber, and the Small Business Development Center, will host this curriculum starting on Monday, February 25, and continuing on Monday evenings from 6:00-9:00pm from March 4- April 15. All interested in enrolling must attend a free orientation session on January 28 or February 11 from 6:00-7:00pm at 727 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS 66101. This program is offered at a very subsidized rate of $75 to allow individuals who meet low-to-moderate income guidelines to participate. For more information and to find out if you meet these guidelines, contact Judy Bumpus at (913) 492-5922.
