Kansas City’s maker scene runs the spectrum from entrepreneurs producing tech devices and designers fashioning apparel to creatives reshaping innovation through hands-on production. They scale concepts from a mere idea to physical reality — all while facing typical startup challenges, as well as struggles unique to makers.

— in the gorgeous Medallion Theater at Plexpod Westport Commons during Global Entrepreneurship Week for a conversation with leading and emerging makers. We'll discuss the highs and lows associated with designing, marketing, funding, producing, selling and distributing physical products.
The event — presented by Plexpod and Polsinelli — will also explore what drives such makers to take the entrepreneurial leap. (Spoiler: It isn’t always money!)
