Innovation Exchange: Hustle in the Making

Tuesday, November 13 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm • Organized By Kansas City Startup Foundation
300 E 39th Street, Medallion Theater, Kansas City, MO 64111

About

Kansas City’s maker scene runs the spectrum from entrepreneurs producing tech devices and designers fashioning apparel to creatives reshaping innovation through hands-on production. They scale concepts from a mere idea to physical reality — all while facing typical startup challenges, as well as struggles unique to makers.

Join Startland News — a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to elevating KC's entrepreneur community of startups, creatives and risk-takers — in the gorgeous Medallion Theater at Plexpod Westport Commons during Global Entrepreneurship Week for a conversation with leading and emerging makers. We'll discuss the highs and lows associated with designing, marketing, funding, producing, selling and distributing physical products.

The event — presented by Plexpod and Polsinelli — will also explore what drives such makers to take the entrepreneurial leap. (Spoiler: It isn’t always money!)

It’s an evening of food, drinks, music, networking, and a peek behind the curtain of maker life.
