Thursday, October 4 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm • Organized By World Trade Center - Kansas City
401 Ward Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64112

About

The Edgar Snow Symposium is a biennial forum of international scholars, artists, civic, education, business and community leaders from the U.S. and China coming together to share information and ideas. The 18th Edgar Snow Symposium, “80 Years of Exchange,” will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 4-6, 2018, at the InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza.

Edgar Snow’s important and influential book Red Star Over China (first published 80 years ago) established a vital, historic link between China and Kansas City that has endured over generations. The 18th Edgar Snow Symposium sustains that connection – celebrating and exploring the legacy of Edgar Snow’s lifelong dedication to the advancement of friendship and exchange between the people of the U.S. and China in the arts and culture, journalism and communication, trade and investment, science and education.
