Expand Your Network – Expand Board Diversity

Tuesday, September 25 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am • Organized By Support Kansas City, Inc
5960 Dearborn Street, Suite 100, Mission, KS 66202

About

This training event has been designed exclusively for our Support KC’s clients. A lack of board diversity is a longstanding trend that needs some fresh ideas. Boardsource’s “Leading with Intent” reports that nonprofit boards are no more diverse than they were two years ago. Join David Oliver, skilled board member and board consultant, and Debra Box, Support KC’s President and CEO in a conversation about how to create strategies to increase your board’s diversity and strengthen your board. Board members are welcome!

Training topics will include:

  • Defining diversity
  • Mapping your board's networks
  • Board Recruitment practices
  • Network weaving - engaging the sector in this work

Agenda:

  • 8:30 – 8:45 Registration, coffee and refreshments, and networking with SKC staff
  • 8:45 – 9:15 Presentation by our experts
  • 9:15 – 9:45 Facilitated discussion with attendees
  • 9:45 – 10:00 Recommendations for our sector for expanding networks
