Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

Monday, June 18 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm • Organized By Project United Knowledge/Project UK
300 E 39th St, Kansas City, MO 64110

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp to youth ages 14-17. We want to expose youth to co-working, pitching a business/public speaking, digital marketing, and business validation using the Lean Canvas. Our overall goal is to support teens learn about themselves, recognize their passion, and learn about 21st century skills.

Public Speaking

Each day youth will speak aloud on a business idea that they choose or is given to them. We will discuss areas on how to pitch a business whether it is customer-focused, founder-focused, or a story. Pitching a business as an entrepreneur is essential to work within the community.

Digital Marketing

The current entrepreneur has to use social media to their advantage in order to engage with their customers and brand advocates. Teens use social media each day, but how effective are they using it? We will provide data-driven goals, activities, and best practices to demonstrate how social media and digital marketing can help teens go online for a purpose.

Lean Canvas

The lean canvas showcases parts of an entrepreneur’s business one document: Customer, problem, solution, value proposition, messaging, revenue, costs, distribution, operations, and basic needs. We will only discuss 2-3 parts of the lean canvas to give youth a head’s up on how founders and their team think about their business. We will utilize portions of the CO. STARTERS curriculum and supplementary materials.
