Startland Innovation Exchange

Wednesday, March 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm • Organized By Startland News
1200 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64105

Learn about regional talent retention challenges and connect with the KC startup community.

How can we stop educated talent from leaving Kansas City?

As revealed in a new KC Rising report, more college-educated people are leaving KC than being drawn to the region. Despite thousands of open jobs, KC ranked 30 out of 31 peer cities in the U.S. for the net migration of adults with a Bachelor's degree or higher in 2016. How can we as a region reverse that trend?

In an interactive fireside chat presented by GXP Investments at the KCP&L Energy Center, former residents, civic officials, and business leaders will analyze the challenge and discuss how we can address it while enjoying food, drinks, and networking.

Parking & Venue Information:

  • Garage parking is available with free validation. Garage entrances located on Main St. and Baltimore St. about midway on the block between 12th and 13th Streets. Event attendees can park anywhere there is no reserved signage hanging on the wall or piping. After parking, attendees will need to take the elevators that are in the middle of each floor in the garage to the 2nd floor. Right outside the elevator lobby on the 2nd floor is an escalator that will take them to the first floor. The Energy Center will be ahead and to their right on the 1st floor.
