Entrepreneurs, inventors, technologists, and engineers often must navigate the world of intellectual property to assess whether similar designs may have preceded their product concepts. A better understanding of intellectual property and the legal differences between copyright, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets will guide these technologists through the process and make their searches easier.
At 11:00 a.m. on March 10, Public Services Manager Michelle Lahey will offer an overview of intellectual property, covering the services offered by the Library, and how to access them. The Linda Hall Library is one of 85 Patent and Trademark Resources Centers (PTRC) in the United States, and Lahey is a trained PTRC representative. The event is free and open to the public; however, and e-ticket is required. Learn more and register for tickets here.
