2017 AIA Document Updates that Matter the Most! presented by Greater Kansas City Chapter NAWIC

In 2017, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) updated its contract documents as part of its regular 10-year revisions. These well-regarded, industry standard agreements take into account recent developments in the design and construction industry.

This program will focus on identifying and reviewing the most significant agreement updates including a discussion of the Owner/Contractor General Conditions (A201 2017), and Owner/Architect Agreement (B101 2017).

Sue Yoakum, Esq. with Yoakum Law, LLCwill present this program. Sue is an attorney and a licensed architect with approximately 30 years of domestic and international experience in design and construction.Sue frequently speaks on issues relating to design and construction risks and recently spoke on the AIA 2017 documents at the ABA Construction Forum in October 2017. She frequently authors articles relating to design and construction risks. She is a liaison to the AIA Documents Committee.

Prior to pursuing her legal career, Sue practiced architecture for a decade with a focus on sport projects.
