This Outreach Business Forum “For Those Who Have Served” is being hosted by Black & Veatch, Burns & McDonnell, DST, Kansas City Power and Light, Metropolitan Community College, Sprint, Kiewit, Veterans Business Resource Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The Kansas City Federal Executive Board will also be hosting their Small Business Networking Event from 7:30-9:00 a.m. This is the only local networking event that puts you in contact with federal, state, city and large corporate contractors. Separate online registration is required for this portion of the event at November 14th Event.
From 9:30 a.m. until noon, various workshops will be offered to help U.S Veteran Owned Enterprises through the maze of growing your business. Workshop topics will cover:

The 10 C’s of Lending. What to Expect When Borrowing.
Procurement Technical Assistance Center - Services
The Match Maker activity will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and is designed to bring regional institutions, municipalities and state and federal government entities together in one venue to meet with U.S. Veteran-Owned Enterprises. Veteran business owners will be expected to sign up between 12:00 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. for 10-minute sessions to speak with representatives about RFP/Procurement opportunities.
The Outreach Business Forum portion of the event (9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) is free and lunch will be provided; however, you must register by October 31, 2017.
