Join us Wed. April 19 for Beyond Banking "From Employee to Entrepreneur" by Stephanie Zamora, self-described chronic entrepreneur.
Want to open your own business but don't know when to quit your day job? Zamora will walk through strategies for transitioning from full-time employee to full-time entrepreneur, including preparing financials, determining when it is safe to transition and monitoring success.
The program is 8 - 9:30 am starting with networking followed by the program at 8:15, at Bank Midwest, Grandview (12500 S. 71 Hwy). A light breakfast is provided. Link to PDF for more information.
Zamora currently owns an electronic security company with her husband called Assurance Security. They install security cameras, access control systems, fire alarms and security alarms. Previously, Zamora worked for two local nonprofits helping people start or expand businesses in the KC area - KCSourceLink and the Ennovation Center Business Incubator run by the Independence Economic Development Council. Between the two she helped more than 3,500 people with their businesses. She says it was the most fulfilling work she has ever done. She loves working for herself, but misses the day to day work with entrepreneurs. Helping them solve problems, see opportunities and accomplish goals.
