The Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is hosting the sixth annual Regnier Venture Creation Challenge competition May 4 – 5. Elevator Pitches and the Venture Exposition Showcase will be held May 4 in the UMKC Student Union, with semi-finalist and finalist presentations taking place May 5 in the Henry W. Bloch Executive Hall for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The RVCC event is a two-day, business plan and speed pitch competition promoting entrepreneurship and new venture development for university students in Missouri and Kansas and current Entrepreneurship Scholars. The competition, underwritten by a generous gift to the UMKC by the Regnier Family Foundations, is designed to encourage venture creation through a forum in which students and program participants can present new venture concepts to local investors, business leaders, mentors and judges. In 2017, eligible teams will compete for $50,000 in total awards and seed funding! The first place prize is $20,000. Click here to view past winners.
Please join us for this special event, and share this great opportunity with your students. Interested ventures should gather their team and submit their business plan by April 21. For more information, contact Andy Heise at firstname.lastname@example.org.
