The Community Development Workshop is an intensive, one-day opportunity to learn from leaders in the field of community development, collaborate with other neighborhood and community activists, and be empowered to transform your community.
This year’s workshop features a keynote address by Shirronda Almeida, Director of the Mel King Institute, a community arts activity by ArtsTech, and dynamic breakout sessions on topics including youth and resident engagement, neighborhood revitalization, project planning, and technical skill building.
Registration is required and open to neighborhood association, government, and nonprofit leaders, residents, grassroots activists, and other community stakeholders from both Kansas and Missouri.
The workshop is organized by the Community Capital Fund, in partnership with Greater Kansas City LISC, Livable Neighborhoods, and the Center for Neighborhoods.
*Separate registration is required for the Real Estate Development, Technical Training Track on Friday, February 10. Visit www.lisc.org/kansascity
