It's easy to feel bombarded by all the marketing options available to your business. Join this morning seminar featuring talks by local experts on choosing the right social media, evaluating your idea, and how to take pictures that work online.
Everyone needs help navigating the world of marketing, whether you are considering starting a business or entering your second decade as a business owner. Let us help you with your first steps. Numerous organizations that assist small businesses will be present to share resource information.
Rachel Merlo, Google Fiber's Community Impact Manager in Kansas City, will give the keynote speech. As the lead on Google Fiber’s initiatives to engage the small business community in Kansas City, Merlo will use her experiences to kick off the morning talks about marketing, advertising, and branding. This free seminar, hosted by the Clay County Economic Development Council and Mid-Continent Public Library, is part of an ongoing effort to help local entrepreneurs learn new skills.
There will also be plenty of networking opportunities available, as the event includes a resource fair of organizations that aid small businesses across the Kansas City metro. Organizations like KC BizCare, KCSourceLink, the UMKC Small Business & Technology Development Center and numerous others will have booths in order to share information about their services.
Presented by Mid-Continent Public Library and the Clay County Economic Development Council. Registration required. This program is funded by a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
