Joint Council & Chamber Luncheon

Ronnie Burt, President and CEO of Visit KC, joins us to discuss the changing face of tourism in Kansas City, including the addition of the new KC Streetcar, Visit KC's current advertising campaign and other issues on the horizon, such as the future of Kansas City International Airport.

"Tourism means big business for KC - to the tune of 24 million travelers each year - and the Northland plays a significant role in that industry," Burt said. "Each section of Kansas City adds its own flavor to our collective culture, reinforcing the importance of regional collaboration for the benefit of our visitors. On the heels of Downtown's $6.5 billion renaissance, it's never been more important for us to continue our investment in regional infrastructure, in an effort to maintain our competitive edge as a national travel destination."
