Hidden SEO: Tactics Under the Surface

While many marketers hear the term “search engine optimization” and imagine keyword strategies, there are many more elements to SEO that rest under the surface. In this presentation, I’ll discuss technical, tactical and strategic elements of SEO that are not as obvious and are often overlooked and the impacts they can have on driving efficiencies and improving the return on investment of a website. We’ll explore how ground-up, holistic website health can improve the overall performance of a website in both search and other channels. Audience members should at least have a basic understanding of what SEO is in order to gain the full value of this presentation.
Kelly Rivard works in SEO strategy for Hallmark during the day and provides freelance digital strategy and training services to small business and non-profits in the evenings.  Prior to joining Hallmark, Kelly spent her days crafting social media, crisis response, content and SEO strategy at agencies in rural Wisconsin, Sacramento, and Kansas City for clients in agriculture, food and higher education.  She's incredibly passionate about "user first" SEO, and the marriage of technical optimization and high quality content to increase search performance.
