In 2016, People to People International (PTPI) will celebrate 60 years of fostering cross-cultural understanding through educational, cultural, and humanitarian initiatives worldwide. To celebrate and to give back to the community where PTPI has been headquartered since the 1960s, PTPI will host its first annual Global Student Fair.
Kansas City-area students will be invited to attend the fair at Union Station on Tuesday, April 12 (grades 9-11) and Wednesday, April 13 (grades 2-5). Students will visit a series of booths to learn about global and cultural themes from the variety of businesses, organizations, and community groups in attendance.
We are currently seeking internationally oriented businesses and organizations to host a booth at the event, which involves decorating a booth, preparing globally themed materials or activities of interest to the students, and attending the event to interact with students. Hosting a booth provides opportunities to connect with local students, to network with other internationally focused organizations, and to share your organization’s work with the Kansas City community. The cost for hosting a booth is $150 for companies.
Businesses and organizations are also encouraged to sponsor the event in order to make this opportunity cost-free for schools. A sponsorship of any level includes booth space for the sponsoring organization.
